Terms of use

SubmitMyStartup is free to use. These terms say what you can expect from it and what you can do with its data. They are written plainly. By using the site, the API, the MCP server, the plugin or the skill, you agree to them.

What this site is

SubmitMyStartup is a tool for finding where to submit a startup: an MCP server, a planner, a JSON API, and a Claude plugin and skill over a public list of directories, launch sites, communities and editorial sites. For many places it also shows what happened when this site was submitted there: what it cost, what the free path needed, how long it took, and whether the listing went live. It is run by one person in Sydney, Australia.

It is information, not advice. The places on the list are run by other people and change their rules, prices and queues without notice. A fact on this site is what was seen on the date shown, and a fact that is not on record is shown as unknown, never guessed. Check a site's own pages before you rely on a fact, and especially before you pay for anything.

No guarantees

Nothing here promises that a place will accept your submission, list it, list it by a date, send you visitors, or help your search ranking. The submission results describe what happened to this site on a date, and may not happen the same way for yours. The site is provided as it is, and may be unavailable or change at any time.

Using the list and the data

The public list, and the data the JSON API and the MCP server return, are open source under the MIT License, Copyright (c) 2026 mmmmingos. You can use, copy, change and share them, including in commercial products, as long as you keep the copyright and license notice with any substantial copy. Please credit “Where to Submit Your Startup” and link to the list on GitHub.

The rest of the website (its pages, guides and posts, and the code that builds it) is copyright and not covered by that license. You can quote it with credit and a link to the page. Please don't republish whole pages.

Using the API and the MCP server

The JSON API and MCP server are free and need no key. Use them reasonably: cache what you fetch (the data changes at most a few times a day), don't send traffic that disrupts the service, and don't present the data as a guarantee about any place. I may limit or block traffic that disrupts the service. I will try to keep the /api/v1/ endpoints and the MCP tools stable, and if I retire or change them, the API page will say so.

The plugin and the skill

The Claude plugin and skill are under the MIT License and come as they are. They only read the list, through the MCP server or the JSON API. What your assistant does with the results is between you and it.

Other sites

Links to directories and communities, and the badges in the "As seen on" strip, point to sites run by other people, under their own terms. A link or a badge here is not an endorsement, and I am not responsible for those sites.

Contributions

Corrections and new places are welcome on GitHub. Whatever you contribute to the list is shared under its MIT License, and you must have the right to share it. Everything is checked before it joins the list.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for any loss that comes from using this site or its data, including a submission that was refused, a fee you paid, or time you spent on a place that turned out to be closed or paid. Australian consumer law may give you rights that these terms can't take away, and nothing here tries to.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia.

Changes and contact

These terms change when the site does; the date at the top says when. Questions and corrections: open an issue on GitHub. Issues are public. The privacy policy says what the site records.
